City of Caulfield Volunteers Award Night 2019
This Award was arranged by Bendigo Bank Caulfield Park and MP David Southwick. Recipients were chosen by groups that they volunteer for and Rotary Club of Caulfield chose Gillian Schofield, artist as our nominee.
Gillian has always been around if we needed anything done, Photo boards for markets and festivals, anything in the art field, helping with BBQ's and helping out in many different ways. We congratulate Gillian on receiving the award.

Another Community group that enjoyed Cityscape Murrumbeena 2019 was the Glen Eira Kindergarten Association (GEKA).
The ten kindergartens participated with all the children doing art work to decorate the window of THE HUB for the month prior to the 11th November.

Peer review session after a day of painting in the open, spread all around the Murrumbeena shopping area.
All made comments about each others art work and different views of the same things.

The Glen Eira Historical Society was one of the groups involved in Cityscape this year
They had a display inside the Greenhaven `Funeral Parlor on the history of Murrumbeena as well as a stand in the street, with more recent items for display.
This was a popular display with many residents enjoying time looking and conversing with the Historical Staff members on duty on the day.Comments (0)
Children's activitiy to celebrate frog's in their natural environment.
Frogs have long been a feature of Murrumbeena and were all over the area just a short time ago.
Feed Frankie the Frog was put a bug in the frogs mouth while blindfolded. A fun activity that the children enjoyed.Read more...
Cityscape Murrumbeen 2019 was our annual event when artists paint in the street for people to be able to see the process that happens for artwork to be produced.
Lots of businesses were involved in this event, with free coffees, vouchers and much more to encourage the artists to keep them involved.
There were lots of childrens activities, including facepainting, balloon man, pictures in a few cafes to be coloured in and Feed Freddie the Frog.Read more...
Bush fire relief - honey donation
We were able to donate some honey from our hives to help with the medicinal care of wounded animals in the recent bush fires
Aussie Rules - Passion and Pain Exhibition
This Exhibition is based on the emotions that the sport "Aussie Rules" (Football) brings to so many people, those who watch, take part in the game, players, umpires, casual observers and footie tragics.
Come and see Footie at the Front, Girls in Football AFLW, Pride Cup, a tragic's living room, Racism and Reconciliation, are just some of the displays to be seen. Artistic people are being very generous and loaning us some wonderful works.
Opening night 13th September then open until 7th October at Glen Eira City Gallery, cnr Hawthorn and Glen Eira roads, Caulfield. week days 10am to 5 pm and weekends 1pm to 5pm. Closed public holidays.
Dance is performance or participatory art expressed through the human body in motion. This Exhibition celebrates that art and the art which it inspires - music, choreography, designs for costumes and scenery and the depiction of dance and dancers through photography, sculpture, drawing and painting.Read more...
On a very windy, stormy day late last year, the fence containing about 300 tiles painted by member of the community, preschools, school, disabled, senior citizens and others was blown down.
On 15th May, Artists, Rotarians and a church member restored the artwork to its previous glory.Read more...

Wonderful community art project is underway in Murrumbeena.
Totem poles are now standing in the ground waiting for their "heads" to be added in a few short weeks
Tiles painted by local residents, Scope and Yooralla members, Uniting Church members, Glen Eira Artists Society members and Rotarians were installed to the wall and fence today.
